Ryder is a 1 year old male Presa Canario cross Mastiff. He is a special boy who needs a special home.
Ryder is completely deaf, although he can pick up sound vibrations at certain volumes and frequencies.
Due to the late discovery of his deafness, he has been in and out of rescue and to several homes so has picked up some separation anxiety which is to be expected.
Ryder’s been with me for almost 6 weeks and the turnaround is incredible!
We have been training with signs which he is so good with, this is something that will be ongoing and we are always adding new ones.
Ryder is such a loving boy, dog and child friendly and needs a well-rounded doggy companion of similar energy to settle his anxiety and to hear for him.
Ryder is toy obsessed! Will do anything for a ball which has helped massively with training. This boy loves hard, and once he falls in love with you, you will get all of the rewards!
Ryder needs someone patient, calm and understanding but also someone firm with experience with large breeds.
We would advise that his new owners have several meet and greets with him over some time to reduce his anxiety about another move. It’s going to be so tough to let him go but he needs to find his forever family.
