Pip is a 1-2 year old female Wire Haired Fox Terrier Cross. She is fostered in West Sussex. Pip was adopted in June last year.
Pip is currently living with a family in West Sussex but due to unseen circumstances, Pip is now looking for a new family and is being rehomed via our RBU.
Pip is currently not neutered as she has not had a noticeable season but will be neutered before adoption. Pip is a lovely affectionate girl who is great with people, dogs and dog-savvy cats.
Pip is playful with lots of kisses and although she gets very excited when she greets new people (she jumps so high she leaves the ground!) she is great around children too.
Pip is also house-trained with a very occasional accident – we make sure she goes outside before bedtime and then there are no issues.
Her recall when she isn’t on a scent is good but she is a hunter and she will run off after prey.
Pip particularly likes pheasants and I would recommend that she stays in a long line unless she is in a secure field and somewhere there isn’t lots of prey – for instance, she is wonderful on a beach or a residential park.
Pip will ALWAYS come back but if she is off the lead then it could be a long wait and not recommended if there are roads or livestock nearby.
Pip will happily sleep in her bed in the kitchen but loves to be around her humans and so enjoys snuggling on the sofa or the bed when she is allowed.
Pip isn’t used to being left alone without the company of the other dog in the house so I would recommend a home with either another dog or owners that won’t leave her alone for long.
