Route 66 Pet Rescue in Oklahoma City benefits greatly from donations. They take in many stray dogs who are starving on the streets and give them a better life. Archie and Stella, two beautiful Pit Bulls, are an example of dogs whose lives were saved because of donations from Greater Good Charities’ GOODS Program.
Stella used to live on the streets, caring for a litter of puppies with very few resources. Archie was also found as a stray, and he was covered in ticks and bite wounds. Route 66 took in Stella, Archie, and the puppies, giving them plenty of food and other necessities.
Stella and Archie quickly became best friends at the shelter. Even after Stella’s puppies got adopted, Stella was happy and full of love because she had Archie by her side. The rescue’s staff members noticed amazing improvements in the two dogs.
“These dogs are thriving now and never have to worry about where their next meal is coming from,” Route 66 Pet Rescue wrote.
Heading Toward a Better Life
These two Pit Bulls are still on the lookout for a forever home, and the rescue wants to ensure they get adopted together. Even though they’re still at the rescue, they’re living their best lives because they’re much healthier than they were on the streets. And now, they’re surrounded by so much love and support!
“The GOODS Program has helped a ton by allowing us to get great quality food for these homeless dogs. With the money we save, we are able to provide so much for the animals and bring more into our program,” Route 66 wrote.
