Jolly is an 8 year old male Cross-Breed. He is a gentle, small to the medium-sized boy, with a smooth black and white coat. Jolly’s history is a sad one.
Jolly was living on the street in Portugal for a few years and some people were feeding him. But he was very scared and no one could ever get near him. One day he was run over and suffered a broken jaw.
Jolly was taken to the vet but we were all very concerned because nobody could get near him without him growling and trying to bite.
The poor boy needed to be syringe fed but this was proving to be impossible. However, the vet persisted and finally was able to get him to eat and started to gain his trust.
When he was fit enough he was transferred to the shelter. For the first few days, no one could get anywhere near him.
But slowly he started to allow us to stroke him then there was a miraculous transformation. He started cuddling up to us and talking to us.
Jolly was desperate for human interaction. Since then Jolly has blossomed. He is a super dog. Loves his walks, loves to play with the other dogs and loves people.
However, a little caution is needed to start with until he knows you are not going to hurt him. Jolly can live with cats.
Jolly would love to finally have a home of his own where he can be spoilt and get lots of love. He is a happy little trusting chap and gets on well with other dogs.
Jolly is currently located in Portugal and can travel to the UK once he has a home to go to. The Adoption Fee: £265 – to be paid directly to the Portuguese rescue to cover new, excessive, extra EU travel costs, via a UK bank account.
