3 year old female German Shepherd Cross available for adoption

Ruby is a 3 year old female German Shepherd Cross. She came to us after an extended period where she became very stressed and scared in Kennels – to the point of totally shutting down and depressed.

Ruby isn’t our usual type of breed but she needed a lifeline and we were able to offer her one due to our wonderful committed foster homes.

Ruby is very typical of her breeding, she loves her people and is wary of strangers.

Ruby is very loyal and protective of her family but once they show that new people aren’t a threat she warms to new people and will accept a fuss.

Ruby is in a foster home with children aged 2 and 8 and loves them very much.

Ruby in the house is calm and loves her fusses and cuddles, but if she gets overly excited she will bounce or humpy but stops as soon as told.

Ruby can be left for up to 5 hours with no issue at all but might sneak up onto the sofa whilst you are out, but as soon as you come home she is off.

The ideal home for Ruby will be an experienced GSD home that understands their quirks and able to continue her trainman and socialisation, Ruby was dog tested in kennels.

Ruby was fine but the foster home is pet free and at the moment she is barking when she sees other dogs, so further exposure to other dogs is needed to ensure she can be sociable with dogs inside and outside the home.
