Spooky is a 1-2 year old male Lurcher. He is currently in a foster home but is still looking for that special forever home. He was picked up as a stray in poor condition.
He went into the council pound, did his time and then into our care as no one came forward for him. I don’t understand why as he is such a loving, easy lad.
He spent a couple of weeks in kennels but wasn’t doing very well. He went into foster care and has been living with two rescue Rottweiler girls for a few weeks now and has settled in fine.
The girls are very boisterous around him but he joins in regardless. He’s taken a few hefty bumps but rolls over, shakes himself down and gets back up for more.
His foster carers don’t have cats but they have managed to cat-test him and he passed with flying colours.
He is gaining weight and has no problem wolfing his food down and is not food aggressive. He is very clean indoors and has never had an accident in the house, always going to the back door when he wants to use the toilet.
He loves nothing better than cuddling up beside you. Once out of the car he loves to run with the girls and interact with them.
Although he hasn’t shown any aggression towards other dogs he is interested from a distance. He’s very good on the lead and has passed sheep, cattle, horses and deer and shown very little interest at all. He was castrated just before Christmas and all went well.
